The entertainment operator raised its interim-period (April–September 2026) operating profit forecast by JPY 800M to JPY 9.60bn, and full-year operating profit by the same amount to JPY 19.30bn. The company attributed the upward revision to solid revenue momentum in the first quarter, combined with lower-than-anticipated cost of sales in equipment sales and rental operations within the karaoke segment. Selling, general and administrative expenses also came in below plan, reflecting disciplined cost management.

The revision underscores improving operational leverage in Daiichi Kosho’s karaoke business despite modest revenue growth. Operating profit margins expanded notably—interim operating profit rose 9.1% while revenue grew just 0.4%—signaling that cost efficiencies are driving profitability gains. Full-year net profit attributable to parent shareholders was raised 3.3% to JPY 12.60bn, with earnings per share (EPS) climbing to JPY 121.88/share. The upward revision reflects management confidence in sustained operational improvements through the fiscal year.
