For the first half, the company lifted revenue guidance to JPY 5.91bn from JPY 5.70bn, while operating profit surged 64.1% to JPY 279M and ordinary income (keijo rieki)—a Japan-specific metric capturing non-operating financial items—jumped 70% to JPY 340M. Net profit attributable to parent company shareholders more than doubled to JPY 277M. Management attributed the upgrade to robust global sales performance, steady domestic equipment and consumables wholesale, and continued yen weakness. The company also recognized investment securities sale gains as special income.

For the full fiscal year, the company modestly raised revenue guidance to JPY 11.5bn from JPY 11.4bn and lifted ordinary income to JPY 380M from JPY 340M. Full-year net profit guidance increased 45.5% to JPY 320M. However, operating profit remains flat at JPY 270M as management expects domestic import wholesale margins to compress due to rising costs, while aggressive investment in global expansion and new business initiatives will elevate selling, general and administrative expenses. The company revised its full-year USD/JPY assumption to 160 from 152, reflecting persistent yen depreciation. Special gains are expected to offset operational headwinds in the bottom line.
