Thank you for considering a contribution to Japan Earnings Insights. Please read the following terms carefully before making a contribution.
1. Nature of Contributions
Contributions made through this site are voluntary donations to support the ongoing operation of Japan Earnings Insights. They are not payments for any product, subscription, or service.
- Making a contribution does not entitle you to any specific rights, privileges, or benefits.
- All content on this site remains freely accessible to all readers, regardless of whether a contribution has been made.
- Contributions are made as an expression of support for independent financial journalism covering Japanese corporate earnings.
2. No Refund Policy
All contributions are final and non-refundable. Once a contribution has been processed, we are unable to issue refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
- Accidental or duplicate contributions
- Change of mind after the contribution is made
- Dissatisfaction with site content published after the contribution date
If you believe a contribution was made in error due to a technical fault on our end, please contact us at editor@japan-earnings.com within 7 days and we will review the case on an individual basis.
3. Use of Contributions
Contributions are used solely to support the operation of Japan Earnings Insights, including:
- Server and hosting costs
- Data acquisition and infrastructure (e.g., TDnet data access, database maintenance)
- Editorial and content production expenses
- Tools and software used in article generation and publication
We do not use contributions for personal compensation unrelated to site operations.
4. Prohibited Activities
When making a contribution, you agree not to:
- Use fraudulent, stolen, or unauthorized payment methods
- Impersonate another person or use another person's payment credentials
- Attempt to exploit the contribution system for any unlawful purpose
- Use automated systems or bots to make contributions
We reserve the right to cancel any contribution and report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
Japan Earnings Insights shall not be held liable for:
- Failed or incomplete transactions due to third-party payment processing errors, network interruptions, or system outages beyond our control
- Any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your payment credentials by a third party
- Temporary unavailability of the contribution system
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure the contribution system operates reliably, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the contribution feature after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
