What We Do

We monitor the Tokyo Stock Exchange's TDnet disclosure system and publish in-depth English analysis within hours of official earnings releases — covering Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime and Standard market companies.

For many internationally-listed Japanese companies, official earnings disclosures are only available in Japanese. We bridge that gap by delivering:

  • Speed: Articles published the same day as official TDnet disclosure
  • Context: Industry-specific analysis (retail vs. SaaS vs. manufacturing benchmarks differ significantly)
  • Clarity: Plain-English explanations of Japan-specific corporate concepts (keiretsu, cross-shareholding, fiscal year conventions)

Coverage

We cover companies listed on:

  • TSE Prime Market — Large-cap companies relevant to international institutional investors
  • TSE Standard Market — Mid-cap companies underserved by English-language financial media (our longtail focus)

Growth Market companies are excluded as they face foreign institutional investor restrictions and liquidity constraints.

How We Work

We use a two-stage editorial process that combines AI-assisted analysis with human oversight:

  1. AI Generation — Our system monitors TDnet in real time. When a new earnings filing is released, an AI model reads the official PDF and drafts an English-language summary, extracting key financial figures and contextualizing them against prior periods.

  2. Editorial Review — Our editors verify the extracted figures against the source document and check for translation or interpretation errors. Reviewed articles are marked Editorially Reviewed (✔).

  3. Editorial Enhancement — For selected filings with broader market significance, an editor adds industry context, competitive positioning, and qualitative commentary. These articles are marked Edited (✏) and carry the editor's byline.

We believe in full transparency: every article displays its production status so readers can judge the level of human oversight applied.
